Powder Coated Stainless Steel Wall-Mount Enclosures

Designed for use in harsh industrial environments where electronic or electrical equipment, electrical switchgear, hydraulics or pneumatic controllers must be isolated from oil, water and dust, Hammond Manufacturing’s Eclipse Series of wall mount enclosures is fabricated from type 304 stainless steel for strength, durability and superior corrosion resistance. The enclosures are finished throughout with a durable RAL 9003 White powder coat which significantly reduces solar heat gain and gives an attractive appearance that complements any contemporary high tech facility. Complying to NEMA 3R, 4, 4X, 12 and 13 and IEC60529 IP66, the Eclipse Series provides a stylish and functional housing, available in 10 sizes from 24 x 24 x 8 inches to 60 x 36 x 12 inches as standard.

A formed structure with smooth continuous seams, hidden hinges and the high quality paint finish enhance the contemporary design, as does the attractive stainless steel handle that provides three-point locking and is padlockable for added security. The door seal is a seamless poured-in-place gasket, and for additional protection against the ingress of flowing liquids, a formed lip further reduces the possibility of liquids entering the housing.

A large selection of standard accessories is available. To prevent condensation, heaters and thermostats can be fitted; breathers equalize pressure differentials, filter fans can provide additional cooling, DIN rails are a field-proven mounting method for modular equipment and separate internal panels are a versatile method of mounting equipment. Hammond’s low-run, fast turnaround modification and configuration service enables the Eclipse Series to be supplied in custom configurations, with special paint colours and other requirements to individual customer specification.

Hammond Mfg Launches new Low-Profile Network/Security Cabinet

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

GUELPH, ON - Hammond Manufacturing Co. Ltd. (TSX: HMM.A) launches their new low-profile wall mount cabinet, a new addition to its already popular line of wall mount racking products. The new Hammond Low-Profile (HLP) cabinet introduces several features where similar cabinets fall short.

The new Hammond Low-Profile (HLP) network/security cabinet was designed as a hybrid networking cabinet for the communications and security professional. The unique rail design enables the installer to mount equipment at any angle they desire, says Scott Hammond. “The most impressive feature in the HLP is the mounting rail that can pivot 180 degrees for easy equipment installation and maintenance. With a quick turn of a knob, the entire rail assembly can pivot allowing the equipment to be repositioned.”

The HLP features a louvered front door, locking hinged top cover, fan provisions located top and bottom, studs for quick mounting of electrical boxes and generous cable management options. Hammond added, “The HLP Series is available in stock in three rack unit heights and is our most versatile wall mount cabinet yet.”

Hammond Mfg Announces New Brand for Economy Product Line

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

GUELPH, ON - Hammond Manufacturing Co. Ltd. (TSX: HMM.A) - The next time you are heading to your favourite DataComm distributor to purchase a Hammond Rack or Cabinet, you may notice a new line of products offered by Hammond. Hammond’s new line of rack and cabinets named RACK BASICS will offer contractors with a quality economy option at a competitive price.

Why the change?  "Distributors and contractors are used Hammond’s high quality products; however, we have seen the need for a product line that meets the basic contractors need both in price and quality. Think of it similar to the off-brand product you would find in a grocery store,” said Scott Hammond, DCI Product Specialist at Hammond.

The new RACK BASICS logo includes lime green, white and black colors. "We wanted to offer a fresh new look for the brand, making it easy to distinguish the RACK BASICS brand from that of our Hammond line," said Hammond.

RACK BASICS products are available through all Hammond Mfg Distributors in Canada. The current RACK BASICS product line includes wallmounts (SWCC, WMC and FWB) and server cabinets (DC200). Our latest introduction to the RACK BASICS brand is the RB-2P77 economy 2-Post Open Frame Rack. “Our new RB-2P77 economy 2-Post rack is directly comparable to the heavy duty offering of our competition,” said Hammond. “The RB-2P77 has already seen interest by a number of distributors, contractors and end-users. It is in stock and priced to sell.

Hammond Manufacturing first introduced a 2-post rack to Canadians in 1935. Since then Hammond has been an innovator in the data communication industry.
